Each card incorporates a chip and an antenna that are activated when approaching the reader, without battery or physical contact.
Proximity cards and RFID chip credentials
Blank or customised cards for access, time attendance and identification. We help you check the technology, frequency and format before producing the credential.
What are proximity cards RFID
Wireless credentials that allow users to be identified in access, clocking or time and attendance systems without direct physical contact.
Two identical cards on the outside may be incompatible on the inside.
In access control, the important part of a card is not always visible. Although they look the same, they can work with different technologies, frequencies or protocols. That is why we do not treat credentials as simple plastic, but as a technical piece within the identification system.
Some systems use low frequency, such as 125 kHz, and others work at high frequency, such as 13.56 MHz.
Depending on the system, it may be necessary to work with MIFARE, Ultralight, DESFire, ICODE, NTAG or other compatible technologies.
How to choose a proximity card or chip credential
The choice depends first on the system that must read it, and then on the format and personalisation. Two cards that look identical may not be compatible with the same installation.

Card quality designed for printing, reading and daily use
In a professional credential, it is not only technology that matters. The material, finish, cut, packaging and stability of the card when used daily in access, clocking or corporate identification systems also influence.

Clean cut and neat edges
Low quality cards may have burrs, rough edges or small cut irregularities. In cards that go through PVC printers, these imperfections can affect mechanical traction and increase the risk of incidents, marks or scratches on the print head.
At ACERIS we supply cards with a clean finish and careful cutting to help reduce problems caused by plastic dust, burrs or particles during handling or printing cycles.

Surface prepared for professional printing
When a badge is personalized with logos, photographs or variable data, not only design matters. The quality of the PVC, the surface treatment and the cleaning of the card before entering the printer also influence.
We supply cards with a homogeneous finish and surface suitable for professional printing, helping to achieve a cleaner transfer, more uniform colors and lower risk of incidents while passing through the machine.

Packaging protected until use
Dust, humidity and unnecessary handling can affect the final result, especially when the cards are stored before being printed. A speck of dust on the surface can cause visible defects in the printed design.
The product is delivered in careful packaging to help keep the cards protected until the moment of use.

Technology and stable reading
In proximity cards or RFID, in addition to the exterior finish, it is important that the technology is correct for the system where it is going to be used.
Before preparing a quote, we can help you review the available information and identify if you need 125 kHz, 13.56 MHz, MIFARE, DESFire or other cards compatible technologies.
How to identify the technology of your cards
If you do not know which card your system uses, we can guide you before preparing a quote.
Review a previous invoice or order
Search to see if a description of the article, reference or technology name appears.
Search for technology references
Data such as 125 kHz, 13.56 MHz, MIFARE, DESFire, NTAG, Ultralight, ICODE, LoCo or HiCo help us.
Use a NFC app for guidance only
If you have an Android mobile with NFC, an app like NFC TagInfo by NXP can help identify some cards compatible with NFC.
Not all cards are read with the mobile phone, for example 125 kHz or magnetic stripe.
Send us a sample if there is no data
If you do not have an invoice or reference, you can send us one or two sample cards. Contact us first to tell you how to prepare it.
Shipping samples to ACERIS is at the customer's expense. If you place the order, they are returned along with the new cards. If the order is not placed, the return is at the customer's expense.
Cards RFID personalized in full color
We produce personalized proximity cards with a corporate design for employees, partners, visitors, students or users.
If you need your cards to be not only an access credential, but also a visual identification of your company or facility, we can prepare personalized RFID cards with logo, corporate colors, photograph, name, numbering, QR, barcode or data variables.
